We now custom mill floater frames for oil paintings on canvas and panels. These solid wood frames are now available in American Dark Walnut, American Cherry, American Maple, and South American Mahogany (Minimum quanity 250 ft.). These woods are sanded, hand rubbed with a natural oil in two applications, sanded, and then coated with a finishing wax. Then are hand rubbed again to bring a beautiful finish. These floating frames are unique in that they are solid woods and not veneers as usually offered in the picture framing industry. The Floater Frame is excellent for presenting art. It is used in galleries and museums to complement the art and not overpower the art. It is very attractive with the Ampersand Cradle Panel which many artist are using instead of canvas. Only a few Floater Frames are available from most picture framing industry suppliers and usually are in the common black or black with silver or gold.
